HT Venue combines top-tier boutique cleans with high gain overdrives seamlessly.
The Clean channel delivers classic clean and crunch tones, using an ECC83 / 12AX7 valve for authentic valve compression.
The Overdrive channels, evolved from the Series One range, feature the same gain structure and tonal shaping with cascaded gain stages of an ECC83 / 12AX7 double triode valve.

HT Venue MK III offers two unique Voices on each channel, each introducing significant circuit changes in the preamp and power amp. These changes affect EQ voicing, tone stack position, gain, and power amp damping, allowing you to achieve a wide range of authentic tones with a single flick of a switch!

What does HT mean?
‘HT’ stands for ‘High Tension’ and refers to the high voltages used in valve circuits like HT Venue MK III. The HT name goes back to the very beginning of Blackstar and our first products: the HT valve pedals.
Footswitch Flexibility
All Channels and Voices are footswitchable, providing a wide range of on-stage valve tones with boosts on every channel. The included 2-way footswitch lets you toggle between Clean and Overdrive Channels and their Voices.
For enhanced control, the optional FS-14 5-way footcontroller offers access to all Channels, Voices, a global volume boost, and Reverb on/off.

Transparent Power Reduction
Blackstar's reliable attenuation reduces power to 10% of the amp's rated output without compromising tone. Unlike load resistors that alter tone, our method controls the internal voltages of the power stage. This preserves the output stage's tone shaping and feedback loop, allowing power amp overdrive at lower volumes giving the feel of a small amp on the edge of meltdown.

Until HT Venue, guitarists had to choose between an amp that delivered great clean tones, or great overdrives. Our mission for HT Venue was to use what we learned when designing the Artisan handwired boutique amps and the modern high gain Series One and combine the best clean and overdrives into a single valve amp; a valve amp that would give players classic reference tones in one unit – without compromise.
The latest iteration, MK III, builds upon our decade of experience, refining tones, components, and aesthetics. Modern recording and connectivity are seamlessly integrated into this traditional valve amp, featuring CabRig, our class-leading IR-based DSP speaker simulator software, alongside versatile connectivity options like USB-C, XLR D.I., and ¼” jack.

Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) control shifts the response of the three control tone stack between, a US type response at one end, and at the other, a UK type response. Importantly, in between the two extremes lie an infinite number of alternative tone choices that would be otherwise unavailable.
MK III also has an all-new reverb voiced for guitar tones. Switch between ‘Dark’ room and ‘Light’ plate settings and deep-edit other parameters via our free Architect software.
