Simon started his album recording career in the mid 90´s with the Swedish band Abstrakt Algebra, formed by Candlemass bass player Leif Edling. They released the debut album in 1995 and played some shows in Sweden and Europe that year.

After leaving Abstrakt Algebra Simon released 2 albums with his own band Fifth Reason, ”psychotic” in 1997 and ”Within or Without” in 2001.

In 1996 he joined Memory Garden, a Swedish progressive doom band, which he is still a part of. Memory Garden is currently writing music for their 7th full length album,

In 2009 he joined heavy metal legends Wolf for a tour with W.A.S.P., filling in for guitarist Johannes. The tour went really well and in 2011 he was asked to join the band full-time.

In 2019 Simon was asked to step in as a session guitarist for metal giants Soilwork, which continued for a couple of years before he joined the band full-time in 2023.

Simon is also one of the session guitarist in the legendary gothic metal band Tiamat.

Besides playing live around the world, Simon also runs his own recording studio SolnaSound Production in Solna, Sweden, as an engineer and a producer. It has become popular amongst local and international artists for its friendly, yet focused and professional environment.

In late 2023 Simon joined longtime friend, and former Wolf bass player, Anders Modd in Shadow Architects. It’s a new dystopian prog metal project and the first album is being worked on right now.

In 2024 Simon also joined the dark pop baroque / metal artist Snovonne, as a guitarist on her upcoming album. He will also record parts of it in his studio as well as mix the album.
