Ht stage 60 valve blown after 30 hours of playing

Ha ha im not that good! 8 rehearsals at 3-4 hours each.

Its the ECC82 Pre amp tube, which i might add is quite hard to get hold of in a hurry in sheffield

Was it a stock tube? Other than the hassle of getting a replacement, might be a blessing. New tubes are a big improvement.

Yes it was the stock TAD ecc82 that blew, now been replaced with a JJ as that was all I Could get hold of at short notice. I've not heard any difference in sound as yet but it's not been kranked up! Rehearsing tonight so will soon see if there is a sound difference, although I didn't think there would be replacing the pre amp tubes?

You probably wont notice any difference with that tube. That is the phase inverter

didnt think it would make much difference, to be fair im pleased though, it sounds just how i want it for now.

I dont really know what an ecc82 tube is used for but I thought I read it was for the gain stage in the 3rd channel hence why my two channel club 40 dosnt have one? Also I dont remember what retailer I read that the ecc82 was used for part of the american sound. I assume that would be a voice in the 3rd channel.
