Just wondering what speakers you have in your HT amps. I was supposed to get a WGS Reaper but a friend of mine gave me a good price for a Scumback H55. It would be arriving in a few weeks. So.. what speakers do you have in those amps?

still running well broken in 70/80's in my 60 combo...
about to load G12T-75 celestion's in the HTV-212 i use along with the combo
i'll change the the stock combo speakers as soon as i decide on a pair that will give me the highs i'm looking for

there are so many combinations and everyone's ears are different so the choices are subjective based on the
music your doing

I use an HT20 head and have two 2X12 cabs. One has Celestions (a V30 and a G12H) the other has WGS (a Retro 30 and a Reaper HP). The Celestion loaded cab is cleaner and brighter; the WGS slightly gritty and slightly darker. Both good sounds, but each favors different music and style and amp settings.

My wife gave me an Eminence Wizard for Xmas a little early. So far I love it, even considering that it's not broken in yet. I would say, however, that the Seventy 80 that came out is still a fine speaker.

I'm using a Classic Lead speaker and changed the closed backplate for a self made 2/3 open plate. Provides a more open and dynamic sound on stage, like a Fender combo. The Classic Lead has a larger magnet so the open back is 'possible'. Furthermore Classic Lead has a rather neutral voicing, so no midscoop, midboost, or (extreme) added low end, but the sparkling highs (which I like) are clearly present. Works fine for me, but then I'm not a high gain player.

On stage the speaker is less important for me. Here I use the amp for my own monitor purpose only, since I'm running a Palmer PDI between the amp and speaker which in turn sends a balanced signal to the PA. So the crowd hears the Palmer PDI cab-sims which are extremely nice sounding! (better than the emulated out of the amp).

Celestion Greenback G12H in external cab along with the stock speaker in my HT20. Sounds great to me.

Scumback is in! Definitely sounded way better than the stock Rocket 50 speaker.
