Hi all,

I have only just started experimenting with an EQ in the loop of my HT-40. What about sharing settings so we can all experiment with them?

I am using a MXR 6-band equalizer, slightly boosting lows and mids. 100, 200, 400 en 800 are approximately on 4, the others on 0.

Grtz,

Marcello

I have today tried a V setting on the MXR. Mids below 0 top highs and low above. Trying not to boost too much to keep noise down.

Any other ideas?

I have a Boss GE-7 that I modded with a Monte Allums Mod Kit and it did wonders for my sound all around. Currently I have the mids scooped and it just sings!

I just put a new MXR 10-band EQ in my back effects loop. It really made a big difference, I am very pleased with the improved sound. I like to play metal, or with distortion, so I use a high gain setting on the amp itself on the OD channel. But for the EQ, I have a "M" shape on the bands. With the outer 2 bands ( volume/gain) set at volume (-6) and the gain (0). Sounds awesome to me. Subjectively, :)

I'm using the KFK ten Band EQ in the loop and it's really nice. I'm trying to find nice spots. Let's share our amp and EQ settings. I like the mids, but everything depends on the kind of music or mood that we want. Hendrix plays a lot with tones sometimes sparkly, sometimes radio. I'm going for different sounds.
