Who have you seen using Blackstar, and who do you think should?

Heard is from somebody that is close to Blackstar (distributor), so, I Googled it, and found pictures with James Hetfield and Blackstar amplifiers, at some rehearsals at Youtube you can see that too.

Yeah, Hetfield is a genius. Makes me feel validated now after I bought my HT-1R. (I had no idea Hetfield used one until now.) Sweet.

Been playing for 14 years, and for absolute rhythm precision and creativity, no one can touch James Hetfield. The guy sounds like a machine. Just listen to some of the extracted "rhythm guitar only" tracks from the Justice album, and then realize that he did most of these in one straight take.

The only rhythm guitarist with a similar level of precision is Dave Mustaine, but overall i'll have to give the nod to James.

Hey, I'd at least run one through its paces. The regular HT-5's a proper-sounding amp. To be honest, for big arena shows like Metallica does, I don't see why a smaller amp like this couldn't be used. Crank it up and use a speaker simulator or isolation cab, then send the signal to the house speakers. There's no need to use the amp to move huge masses of air anymore - tone's the primary consideration.
