When you will see inside the tech specification, then you will understand that this amp is designed basing on... silicon, not tubes.
Blackstar - why you write untrue informations about this amp? This is not full tube/valve amp.

Most everyone here knows the circuitry includes both tube and SS components. It's your interpretation that "full tube/valve amp" is "untrue". Like it or hate it for it's sounds, not your idealistic purism viewpoint of whether it contains SS components. Besides, a preponderence of users will put a TS or some other SS pedal with it and love their sound.
Why all the bashing! SO WHAT's Your problem

Sound, tone is something you may like or not. HT20 may be liked. That is out of discussion.
Yes, it is about idea of true. In my country as others HT20 has been sold with Blackstar declaration "it is full tube amp". As you said - everyone now knows that it is not true.
How many of them knew that in the moment of baying? I think none. The thing is this is hybrid amp sold as full tube amp. That is simple unfair against customers.

Certainly in the English version of advertisements and claims, I have never seen Blackstar stating the the HT series are 100% tube circuitry (void of any SS components), so either something happened in "the" interpretation or more likely in "your" interpretation.

As you can read, my English capabilities are very poor, so I would not even start to understand or make any interpretation of English advertising. I'm lucky I do not have to, because Blackstar has also distributors in non English speaking countries, where HT Venue series was introduced in 2009 as 'all valves' and 'full tube amps'. I'm glad to hear that everything was 100% clear for UK customers. That is good for them. Unfortunately in other markets situation was not so evident. There is many customers of Blackstar who bought this amp being sure that it is full tube amp. But maybe going forward with your logic all they are just stupid and they have problems with interpretation. The interpretation ;-)

That's odd...I've always considered amps (like the Vox ADxxxVT series) where there is a tube preamp and pure SS power section to be 'hybrid', and amps with a tube preamp and tube power section as a 'tube' amps (whether or not clipping diodes are used for gain). Technically, I find no fault with BS's description. I would assume most buyers would investigate specs before purchasing, especially at the price point of these amps and considering the great tone. I doubt most think that these amps are the point to point/all tube amps variety, especially being a hi-gain style. Maybe it's naive of me, but I'd like to think that most buyers are informed and your post is not 'new news'.
