I recently installed the Eminence Governor in my HT 20. The previous speaker was a Scumback H55, similar to the Celestion G12H55. Wow! MIDS. MIDS. MIDS. My amp sounds more Marshally than before. The Scumback was a bit mid scooped.

I love this! They say it's like a V30 without that annoying top end. Who else has this in their amp?

I have a WGS Veteran 30 in my HT20, which is hyped as a Vintage 30 without the icepick highs, just like the Governor. I'm happy with the results, especially for the $$.

Ronnie...I had debated putting a Wizard in my HT20. How would you describe the differences between the Wizard and the V30?

There certainly is a difference between the too but Ive never used the Wizard by its self so its difficult to describe

The wizard is advertised as a speaker for 70s classic Rock and some say is similar sounding to the Celestion G12H, the mix of a V30 and a G12H is well known so I thought I'd give it a try. In any case it does like the overdriven stuff its tight and likes to get dirty. Its also a very efficient speaker so it barks with authority.

Mixed with a V30 both compliment each other. Playing clean adds complexity and depth to the sound

It was initially an experiment with a speaker Ive never tried before but Ive very happy with it.
