Re: ID 60 1x12 speaker swap?

hey cadblaster! did you try different impedance speaker? and what were they? on higher impedance, how much loss of power? etc.... As said earlier.... 3-4db drop going from 4ohm to 8ohm. Approximately double that if going from 4ohm to 16ohm. As far as tone,,, I've tried Greenbacks, g12-65's, 75's, V3...

Re: ID 60 1x12 speaker swap?

I think I've already posted this in a few other threads. Got a lot of speakers and cabs at my disposal and tried just about everything with the ID amps. Haven't found anything that sounds better than Classic Lead 80's. Their a pretty standard choice with modeling amps. They'll give you more articula...

Re: ID 60 1x12 speaker swap?

Without pulling out my calculator, it should be around 3-4db drop going from 4ohm to 8ohm. You can offset this somewhat by picking a speaker that has a higher SPL rating. Eminence makes a few that are 100+ SPL. If you want a 4ohm speaker, Weber makes about anything you could want in 4ohm. If you sho...

Re: ID:30 Delay - only single repeats?

Not sure I understand the problem your having with setting delay repeats. You don't need"Insider" to adjust parameters of the FX. The knob where you choose which type of delay,,, is the same knob you need to play with to control repeats. Just turn it slightly and you'll hear the repeats increase or ...

Re: Footswitch with ID-TVP !?!

Like Captainnemo said: Why don't you just get a Midi Controller. No shortage of cheap midi controllers on ebay. You can do a lot more with a midi controller than you can with the FS-10. The added bonus is will work with any midi capable amp not just Blackstar. I don't have a problem with the price o...

Re: FS-10 Saving patches nightmare

I gave up on the FS-10 after having it the 1st week. Way too much trouble to save a patch, plus it would do squirrely things on it's on.

Whole lot simpler with a midi controller. CC119, one button push saves everything simple as beans.....

Re: Swapping speakers in my ID260

Your right, the CL80 isn't available in 4ohms. I've been cheating, all my 2x12 ext. cabs use 8ohm speakers, but wired with a double jackplate for 4ohm or 16ohm. Makes life simple switching between tube and SS amps. :D

Re: Swapping speakers in my ID260

Like HighlandStar said, You need something neutral and flexible and that doesn't add speaker breakup with the I.D. It's a modeling amp, so generally you want something that will reproduce the tone not color it. Classic Lead 80's are one of the "Go To" speakers for modeling amps. I've tried most of t...

Re: Swapping speakers in my ID260

Weber Speakers makes a clone of just about every popular speaker. More importantly, they can all be ordered in 4ohm
