The short answer is "Yes" you can. But since your using the G system you've got midi capability which I recommend instead of using the TRS. Get you one of these http://www.voodoolab.com/controlswitcher.htm You'll still need a custom cable that you can make yourself or get from Voodoo that goes from ...

Re: ID60/ID260 midi footswitch compatability?

The ID amp has the plain 5 pin midi, which means it's not capable of supplying power. However,,,,,,,,,, The Rocktron is capable of using the un powered 5 pin midi,,,, or the 7pin powered cable. The cable you want to get is http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RDMH900 The wall wart comes with the M...

Re: ID60/ID260 midi footswitch compatability?

There's a couple of us Midi fanatics around here with the ID amps. Plenty of threads about midi here as well. As far as "User Friendly" midi controllers,,,, Hands down it's Rocktron for me . Have and use both the Rocktron Raider and the Rocktron Midi Mate. . Have a Behringer here too that works just...

Re: Multicable channel switcher adapter

We can probably help you out, but need a little more detail of what your trying to do. Which amp (exact model) ? Make/model of routing pedal???, How many, and which functions you want to control ? If your talking about the Series 1 amps than it can be pretty simple to do things thru the midi route, ...

Re: My New ID260TVP Has Chinese Speakers!!!!!

Back on topic, modeling amps typically use full range speakers since they can do speaker emulation in software and often have line inputs that would sound like crap for backing tracks and the like i they were traditional guitar speakers. Re: My New ID260TVP Has Chinese Speakers!!!!!

As a U.S. engineer who's spent more than a few years setting up manufacturing projects in China I find this quite amusing..... Where do you think Celestion speakers are made ? Or better yet,,, where do you think the supposed U.S. and UK made speaker companies get there cones, frames, magne...

Exactly. Celestion and Eminence make special OEM speakers for just about every major manufacturer. A version of the 70/80 is in more amps than you can count.

Re: Artisan 2x12 cab with a ID60 head?

There's no shortage of 2x12 cabs with 2ea 8ohm speakers, wired for 16 ohm and 4ohm. :D
Zilla cabs if your in the UK, or Avatar in the U.S. is a good place to start looking.....
You can always swap speakers in a cab too, to get what you want.
