Re: Let's talk Blackstar Series One

I don't dislike my 104el34, but in my mind it's not a true 4 channel amp. Never liked sharing EQ's on channels. One of the reasons I really like the Marshall JVM.(independent controls) I'm able to work around the volume and shared EQ issues by programming the GMajor2 to compensate to my taste. This ...

104EL34, 100w. I'm not much of a metal guy, so prefer the EL34 over the 6L6 version.

Re: Let's talk Blackstar Series One

Like my Series One.
Have it plugged into a Midi Controller and a TC GMajor2 for FX
Mostly use it for 70's rock.

Re: FS10 Footswitch behaving erratically

Yes,,,
Several of us have had similar issues. It's a pedal/software problem. I think there's a few post here where people returned the pedal and it fixed it. For me,,, I continued to have little problems where it would do odd things on it's own so gave up and used a midi controller instead.

Re: Switching channels on HT Stage 60 with Boss GT8 or GT10?

The RJM amp gizmo, and the Voodoo Labs control switcher are nearly identical units. Either will work, and both require a custom cable that utilizes the DB9 connector of the HT Stage 60. I've used both, and would recommend either. It really comes down to cost and availability. The number or presets/a...

Re: ID:60 TVP-H Using FRFR

I run my I.D. 60 directly to the board for most gigs.(Back up rig) Also have an Atomic Wedge, that I sometimes run it into.
Usually have to back off the gain just a touch when switching from speaker output to emulated out.

Re: ID60 Midi switching presets while FS-10 still active

I think we may still be misunderstanding each other. Use Midi to control the Beatbuddy, not let the Beatbuddy control anything. The fact that the Beatbuddy has a midi input and can receive midi notes, messages, clock etc, means that indeed it is listening on a midi channel and can at the very least r...

Re: ID60 Midi switching presets while FS-10 still active

Went thru your notes and video. Thanks for posting. I think if you take a different approach to how your setting this up you'll have the results your looking for. If you treat it like a standard midi guitar rig ( Amp, several rack FX units, and a midi foot controller) you should gain complete contro...

Re: ID60 Midi switching presets while FS-10 still active

I'm not that familiar with the midi specs of the Beat Buddy (nothing in the manual), but I would think it would be a lot easier to not use the FS-10. Instead use a single midi controller for both the Beat Buddy and Amp. Is the Beat Buddy Omni, or can you select which channel it listens on ? If you c...
