"How to" bias a HTV-100....what do the experts think??

Being curious and untrustworthy of my guitar tech I like to know what I´m paying others to do........I found this "how to" out on the net and was wondering if this is what is done when biasing new tubes... http://www.musicradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66691&page=1 and of course with big red lette...

....might as well get both since it´s gunna send me in to ruin anyway....then I can mix and match since the pre amp tubes dont need biasing :-)

OK...since it´s coming to be the time that my tubes need changing I´v been looking for some opptions that might work for me...as said the original author of the threads tube combo is exactly what I´m looking for sound wise...classic rock...AC/DC OD1 and a better OD2 but I´ve had issues finding a tub...

is this with the pre-amp tube changes you noted in your first post? Ht STAGE 100 PRE AMP - ( WITH SVETLANA WINGED C IN POWER AMP) changed V1 /V2 for Harma ECC83 Retro and V3 ( probably the most important ) for a Phillips jan6189w /ECC82 the difference is huge . Amp in general runs quieter the cleans...

I had left my Marshall jcm head in standby for 2 1/2 days. I just turned it off for a couple hours to cool down, and it was fine. Like others have said I'm sure it cuts your tube life down but that's about it. You can order tubes with a 24hr burn in before they ship them so I would just keep bangin...
