Re: Succesful pedal - HT combinations

Hi, Recently I have been looking at the Wampler Pinnacle. A distortion pedal supposedly deliver a pretty decent brown sound. Has anyone tried this pedal, preferably with a HT-40? It's not any easy (or cheap) pedal to get in The Netherlands (will have to order it online I think) so it would be nice t...

Brown sound

Ok... I know, I know... most question asked ever, does it really exist?, etc. etc. but still.. ;)

Did anyone try to get a brown sound out of a Blackstar, preferably HT-40? Maybe combined with pedals? I don't have boosters, but I was wondering whether boosting the poweramp would help?!

Succesful pedal - HT combinations

Hi all, I'm starting this thread to share which pedals are working with our HT's and which aren't. My first impression: Amp: HT-40 Vox Saturater Haven't been able to get the sound I want. In most cases I get a harsh little edge that ruins the smooth Satch tone this pedal should give. I tried it main...

Re: What tube (or speaker) change on HT-40 for more "bells"

Thnx guys! Lotsa helpful stuff there. I took the HT40 to the studio yesterday for the first time and could really crank it. Wow!!! Amazing! Cleans too. ZZ Top night, so not much room for clean experimenting. I will definitely try some of the tube changes and maybe order a speaker to try that too. Th...

Gibbons tone

Yesterday I watched an nice rundown of Billy Gibbons gear and settings by his tech. Turns out he has bass and mid all on full and treble all the way down. Live amps are Marshalls most of the time. I tried those settings on the OD channel with nice results! ISF all the way to the right, but good resu...

V setting adds Fenderish tone

I have today tried a V setting on the MXR. Mids below 0 top highs and low above. Trying not to boost too much to keep noise down.

Any other ideas?

HT-40 equalizer in loop settings

Hi all,

I have only just started experimenting with an EQ in the loop of my HT-40. What about sharing settings so we can all experiment with them?

I am using a MXR 6-band equalizer, slightly boosting lows and mids. 100, 200, 400 en 800 are approximately on 4, the others on 0.

Grtz,

Marcello

What tube (or speaker) change on HT-40 for more "bells"

Hi, I just recently got my HT-40 and love it! It hasn't had the millage yet to honestly say it's broken in. First time in the studio is around the corner though. Mostly room volume now. I love the clean tone, but it would be nice to have a little more Fender tone. I Just did my first, small, mods on...
