I've had a Boss DD-3, a Greenhouse FX Retro Sky, and a TC Electronics Nova Delay. ALL had problems with noise and levels being quirky, etc. For a while I thought that I just could't find the right pedal. Now I'm convinced the effects loop on this amp is just problematic. It's time for me to sell it ...

I have the Wizard in my HT-40. It sounds fantastic! Awesome. I just ordered one and should have it next week. Was there much of a break in period with yours? Yes, I don't recall how long, but it sounded great as soon as I put it in and even better after some breaking in. Louder and more articulate ...

When my stock power tubes began to crackle, just as you described, they would also flicker a bit at the same time. At first a technical tap did the trick, but that was short lived. I eventually settled on JJs. Work great!

Great amp! For the money, I don't think you can find an amp that sounds better than these. The ONLY thing that concerns me is it's longevity. It's guts are nothing simplistic and probably a nightmare when something goes wrong beyond tubes. An amp builder told me that they are nice but are "throw awa...

Awesome! That's what I did last Christmas (gift from my wife). With the Wizard and some nice tubes, my HT-40 truly sounds amazing.

I might be wrong but I thought V2 is the gain channel. The one he's trying to tame.
