Re: Problem with ID:CORE 40 - usb disconnecting

Folks have occasionally reported their flakey USB problems going away with a cable swap.
I would try another cable. If you're running the latest insider software from http://blackstarinsider.co.uk/ it should tell you if it wants to do a firmware update, when it detects the amp.

Re: Patches only for tvp amps not for Id core 150

I thought the same when I had purchased the ID core 20, as a brand new amp a couple years ago. It was so new and had so few users that there weren't any presets online for it specifically, just old TVP models. I haven't looked recently to see what is available now. I moved on because I wanted a more...

Re: ID:CORE 20 no sound

I'd try another cable as well, but that sounds like a defective amp to me.

Re: Blackstar Amp ID Core 20 with Fender Electric Accoustic

While its not a an acoustical guitar amp, I'd expect some signal to make it through to the Core20 amp. I don't know that particular guitar, so I googled it. It looks like it has a fishman acoustical guitar bridge piezo pickup and preamp/tuner built in. I have a guitar with one of those. If there's n...

Re: id core 10 usb not recognised

I haven't tried Windows 10 with my ID:Core 20 yet, but the usual advice for Windows missing USB drivers issue is to try plugging into different USB ports and restarting the computer. Beyond that there's fiddling with allowing unsigned drivers.

Re: INSIDER 1.7.6 Released

Since it does not work with both versions of insider, I'd have to guess the operating system didn't install the device driver properly, or you plugged into an incompatible USB port (sometimes plugging into another port fixes things by using a different chip internally).... Normally when an amp is fi...

Re: ID CORE 20 - Footswitch FS-10

After reading the initial post above I went looking for the LEDs on my id core 20's foot switch and found it doesn't have any. Its a FS11. If I remember correctly, they've always advertised the FS11 was _the_ footswitch for the ID Core 20 and 40. I'm guessing the FS10 and its extra switches and LEDs...

Re: INSIDER 1.7.6 Released

I had no problems updating the firmware in my id core 20 using the same windows 7 (32bit) laptop and usb cable that I did the previous update with. Sad to hear that others are having issues...

Re: Use of Microphone

microphones usually have a much lower or quieter signal than line input sources such as mp3 players. Amps that support them normally have separate inputs for mikes or additional gain switches for the individual inputs to make up the difference. Someone was probably confused about what types of input...

Re: Firmware confusion

I'm not aware of any reason not to download the latest version of "Insider" and try it out. I had no problem updating my ID core 20 amp's firmware under Windows7. Its much more likely for someone to complain publicly when it doesn't work for them than to praise the update than when everything is OK ...
