Re: Goodbye TVP15

Yes Flimbo - I really tried to like it but it's just a load of crap. For home practice I've gone back to my Microcube - I use only one sound but it's musical and pleasant to the ears. I've nothing against modeling amps. My gigging amp right now is a Yamaha THR 100, a terrific amp which, unlike the B...

Goodbye TVP15

I've fought with this thing on and off for about a year and today I gave it it's last chance. I went through every pre-amp using every power amp for each selection. I fiddled extensively with the gain, the master, the EQ and the ISF. Conclusion - not a single usable sound to be found. TVP is a joke ...

TVP no more ?

Have Blackstar completely abandoned TVP ? It was a good idea that didn't quite make it as far as duplication valve performance. I recently bought the Yamaha THR 100 which absolutely blows it out of the water so they have a lot of catching up to do.

Re: bedroom practice

Why not the 15 watt ? It's a GREAT practice amp and sounds a LOT bigger than it looks.

Re: ID30TVP

I play my ID TVP 15 in my kitchen sometimes at whisper levels and have no problem getting a great overdrive sound. It took a while to get there. I use mainly crunch and supercrunch. One thing I found is to look at the EQ differenly than I do with valve amps. Typically I'll have the ISF set all the w...

Customer support

I know that some of you have had issues with this. I'd just like to say that I e-mailed Blackstar with an enquiry about a month ago and got a reply about ten days later. I sent another e-mail this morning and received a reply within five minutes - thanks Jake.

Channel switching IDTVP 15

Hi Folks, I've read that it's possible to switch between two patches on this amp using a basic 1 or 2 button footswitch. Is this correct ?

New Yamaha THR amps

I wonder how Blackstar are feeling about the new Yamaha amps that have stolen the selectable power stage idea from the TVP amps ? Skip to 1:52.
