Re: Blackstar HT-5 Tube Swap

I actually liked the 12AU7 (the lowest gain).. it made the Ht5 much more of a classic rock, 70s, early 80s sound.

Re: HT 5 crackle/static problem

mine turned out to be a different issue, it was a mix of the cab and pickup height... lowered the pickup a hair, and replaced the bolts on the speaker mounts... problem fixed

HT 5 crackle/static problem

ok, I may have developed a problem... idk yet... I notice this more on my clean channel, but turned up a bit, say about 10:00 if I strike a chord, (easily reproducible on the A chord) I get a strange kind of artifact/static thing, right after.. almost on a delay. it's not like a normal breakup.. it ...

Re: 2 blackstar h5s

no difference... it it won't really be much louder... running 2 5 watt amps still won't keep up with a drummer

minimum 15 watts for a drummer... and you probably wouldn't have much headroom even then...

Re: 2 blackstar h5s

you could run 2, in stereo... or you could use a power amp and use the amp as a pre-amp/monitor, running the effects loop out into a power amp, to boost the power... best option though... look up the bad-cat unleash... it can turn your 5w amp into a 100w, or turn your 100w into a 1 watt :) and can b...

Re: HT5 Metal

i'd get that stack if I were you...

as for the ht-metal sounds
I'd be willing to bet it sounds like their HT-DISTX pedal, when/if they even release it.. it seems like we've been hearing about these forever, and nothing. I like my HT5 the way it is, and plenty of gain for anything already...

pretty much hate multi pedals...lol
I agree, but I have used a pod just for reverb in the loop... not something I want a lot, so I can't justify dropping the $ for a good reverb pedal
