Re: questions about HT 60 Stage bias
Nevermind. I found my answers thanks to some extensive googling. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on these amps yet. It is FIXED bias which, from my understanding, means that the tube socket biasing tools cannot be used like they can with cathode biased amps. The test point on the PC...

Re: The Pedalboard thread
My homemade pedal board. The Big Muff is about to be sold because I just can't get a sound I like out of it. The Jekyll and Hyde sounds good on my clean channel and I use it to add more crunch to OD1 on my HT60. http://i945.photobucket.com/albums/ad292/JGDigitalJedi/PB_resized.jpg I made it extra la...

Re: New HT-60 Stage owner
add another 2x12 cabinet and it really smokes... I was actually thinking about getting a 2x12 Avatar cab with no speakers and dropping in an Eminence Governor and Man O War that I already have. Then I realized that a 2x12 Blackstar cab is the same price and would match my amp better visually. I fig...

Re: What does having an amp "voiced" for speakers mean?
I don't buy into the "voiced for these speakers" bit too much UNLESS you're dealing with a modeling amp (and in this case you're not). Modeling amps need flat speakers that don't color the tone so all of the models sound right. A tube amp is all about coloring the tone. Different tubes, pickups, and...

questions about HT 60 Stage bias
I'm a tinkerer and I am also a guy that likes to be over prepared. With that said, I am about to buy all new tubes for my HT 60 Stage and keep the stock tubes as backups. I've always lived in big cities and had amp techs take care of tube stuff for me but now I live in a smaller city and don't know ...

New HT-60 Stage owner
What's up folks. I got a HT-60 Stage a few weeks ago (best way to spend a tax return ever). I'm thrilled with it! I've always been an all tube guy except for my last amp which was a Peavey Vypyr Tube 120. I've had a Mesa Triple Rec, B52-AT100, Hughes and Kettner Triamp, and more. I have to say I'm l...
