Re: Harley Benton speaker cabs

hey rob, if you can afford the orange then it'll prob be the last cab youll ever buy n you'll never have to worry about the structural integrity of it as they're built like tanks and as you've said they look awesome. It's deffinately a justifiable purchase, they look and sound awesome and they'll st...

Re: Harley Benton speaker cabs

I've just had a proper butchers at it now and the only major difference I can see between that n my orange are the dimensions, the Harley Benton is about the same dimensions as a huges n kettner cab I had years ago. But the HB has much better speakers, this looks a fantastic cab for the money. If yo...

Re: Harley Benton speaker cabs

hey there rob, I've had a little bit of experience with the Harley Benton geetars and for the money they're extraordinary, but the hardware does seem to reflect the cost. But the woods used were ace and up to now they've taken a fair bit of use with minimal fuss apart from (as I mentioned) the hardw...

Re: Blackstar HT-20 vs HT-50 Home & Live

Hey there I know if it were me I'd go for the 50 if was playing un mic'd, I did have a stage 60 for a while and that thing sounded awesome at home levels and kept up nicely with the band I was playing with. I haven't had a chance to play through a 20 yet but a mate of mine had a 40 watter for this b...

Re: Blackstar Series One 1046L6

Hey there, ncie buy  I'd try the pedals with the amp, you may be able to get some completely different sounds with 'em. Of course I'd keep a hold of 'em just incase you decide (or have to) use another amp in the future n wanna get your sound but it's completely up to you as they can fetch a...

Re: Wah Wah/Blah Blah

Hi there, dunno if I'm a bit late or not for ya but I have had a stock cry baby and had the same probs, so I tried a couple of friends morley bad horsies (both 1&2) then proceeded to buy a morley bad horsie 1 (only because I couldn't quite work out the little twiddly knobby bit on the 2). This has a...

Re: Clean channel question

That'd be quite an intresting thing to try, don't quite know how you'd go about it but intresting. You deffinately wanna run it through the clean channel, where your gain/volumes concerned turn your volume up a little and turn your gain up slowly until you get the sound you want out of it. Me person...

Re: Clean channel question

If I knew how to do an upwards arrow thingy me bob, I'd agree http://illiweb.com/fa/i/smiles/fresse.png I would say though you put the gain right up it is gonna start distorting, I don't know the technical reason why but it will  I think with mine I've got it set somewhere near 12 o'clock, ...

Re: Tell Me About Your Experience With the Emulated Speaker Output

Whilst I had my Stage 60 I used the emulated output a couple of times and WOW is the only word I have for it, it's such a bonus being able to use my actual amp sound silently! The reverb was a thing of beauty, nicest reverb I've ever heard. I'm writing all this in the past tense as I had a few major...
